A & B Flooring, Inc. took advantage of a unique opportunity to clearly demonstrate their patriotism when asked to install a new floor at a Naval station. Installers of industrial flooring for 28 years, A & B applied all 107 years of their combined experience when installing epoxy/quartz flooring at the Breezy Point Officer’s Club located at the Naval station in Norfolk, VA. The officer’s club is over 100 years old and the site not only serves lunches regularly, but also accommodates large parties and special events, so the kitchen floor receives plenty of wear. A & B’s epoxy/quartz flooring system consisted of C.R. 5000 chemical resistant urethane applied over 1000 epoxy coating, which was used for the primer coat and the two intermediate coats with a broadcast of quartz granules to rejection each time. A & B also installed 6” cove molding on all the kitchen walls, which was troweled prior to the installation of the flooring itself. The flooring was subsequently rolled up the wall, providing a seamless, uniform, and consistent non-slip texture. Done strictly to Naval specifications, the entire installation was completed in only nine days. The result was a high-gloss, durable, and impact resistant finished surface that improves luminescence and longevity.

No room is complete until the floor is professionally finished. Contact A & B Flooring to learn more about their custom floor resurfacing, repair, and renovation skills.
